Anyways, this blog is going to be another #productreview!
This is NOT a sponsored review and these are still my 100% honest opinions on the product and why I choose Tarte Cosmetics as one of my many daily makeup brands aloe with Glossier and tons of others.
First I would like to say:
THE PIGMENTATION IS SO REAL BRO.
One of the reasons why I truly love Tarte is because the eyeshadow pigment is so incredible and it really is one of those 24-hour wear brands.
Now lets get started with the review.
The first product from Tarte is the Tartiest Pro Pallet. This is my everyday eyeshadow wear and it is a 10/10 INCREDIBLE EYESHADOW. Ok so I don’t know what it is about this brand, but as weird as it sounds, their makeup literally smells good. Its like their signature of the line for all their eyeshadows to smell like chocolate. Just to give you guys an idea, I’m going to compare this to the Urban Decay Naked Pallets. Urban Decay as a brand is great in many different ways. They have an amazing setting spray that I use everyday and their face makeup is also really great. However, I am not a fan of the eyeshadow…AT ALL. I find that Urban Decay doesn’t provide pigment at all and the eyeshadow has a lot of fallout. It is one of those makeup brands that outweighs other brands in some products, but not others. Tarte eyeshadow probably has about 10x the pigmentation of Urban Decay and that is JUST THE TEA, HONEY. The Tartiest Pallet retail differently at a lot of different place but I bought it for $55 dollars at Ulta and it is very much worth the buy. My favorite colors on this pallet are the deep reds and the very pale, almost whites. They blend very nicely together and if you guys haven’t already seem my “Freshman Dorm Haul” on Youtube:
1. You should watch it and subscribe
2. I used this pallet in my makeup as you can see in the photo below.
I apologize for the nature of these photos they are actual screenshots from my video and I tried to get one with eyes open and one with eyes closed so we could get the full effect okur.
The next product I have is the Tarte Aquacealer Concealer. I’m really iffy about this one because it was baddd…but it also wasn’t good. The color is very accurate and it does conceal fairly well, however I feel like it oxidizes and turns me white and more pale than I already am. I did find a solution to this problem, though. If you take the Tarte Aquacealer Concealer and mix a couple drops of the Bare Minerals Bare Pro Foundation, it actually makes a really nice concealer. This is cool that it fixes the problem, but then again I feel like the concealer shouldn’t oxidize anyways. Also, I’m very into my Glossier Concealer and if you guys would like a review on that, go ahead and click over to my Glossier Product review where I talked about all my skin care routine stuff. I would probably rate this concealer a 7/10. Once again, wasn’t horrible but wasn’t great either. It’s really just a “so so” concealer. This product retails for $26 at Ulta.
The last Tarte product I’m going to be reviewing is the Tarte Color Splash Hydrating Lipstick, specifically their brown and nude tones. If you love lipstick like I do, GET THIS PRODUCT. This is easily the best lipstick that I have ever used and the color is amazing. It last all day long and it really feels so smooth. I hate it when lipsticks feel very dry and heavy and this is the exact opposite of that, I promise. I love love love their really dark colors, but if you’re not into a dramatic look, you can always go for their softer tones like pinks and beiges. This lipstick retails for $21 and I would rate it a 10/10. Easily my favorite lip product by far.
That is all for today mini Tarte Cosmetics product review! I hope you guys enjoyed and don’t forget to comment down below your opinions. I hope this helps you guys determine what products work best for you!
